Celebrating the legacy of British statesman Winston Churchill and his favorite champagne, Pol Roger. Entrants were to design gift packaging for the Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2016.

Research

I began by listing words that represented what I envisioned my packaging design to be, and what it wouldn’t be.

In my research, I unearthed a little-known fact about Churchill: he enjoyed breeding butterflies. I centered my design around the life cycle of a butterfly, as it mirrors the process of making champagne, with both concluding in delightful and surprising results.
